Asha Impact looks for the following when making for-profit equity investments:
We invest in the highest quality management teams with a clear vision and strategy, and the ability to execute on the ground to deliver results.
We look at for-profit business models with solid unit economics that are financial sustainable and have the ability to scale to national relevance.
We only invest in enterprises that are intentionally focused on underserved populations and that are able to tangibly measure their social impact.
We value collaboration and co-invest with a range of high quality angel investors, family offices and institutional impact investors to leverage our capital.
Asha Impact uses the following approach when making for-profit equity investments:
Early-stage investments with an average deployment of Rs. 6 crores and meaningful stake. Focus on helping the company grow, prove business model viability and attract commercial capital within a 5 year horizon.
Work closely in partnerships with like-minded impact investors and commercial VC funds – leverage own capital to do larger sized rounds, reduce risk through sharing of diligence and amplify post investment value-add.
