After a successful career in investment banking spanning more than two decades in New York and Hong Kong, Vikram Gandhi, Founder of Asha Impact, decided to return to India with the desire to actively participate in the development and growth of his country.
Vikram has been involved with various developmental activities in India and globally. He is a Board Member and Chairman of the Asian Regional Committee of Grameen Foundation, a Board Member of Janalakshmi Financial Services, and a member of the Investment Committee at Gawa Capital. Vikram is a Founding Member of Harvard University's South Asia Initiative.
He is a member of The Global Leaders Circle and associated with the Social Entrepreneurship initiative at Harvard Business School. Additionally, he has worked with the National Innovation Council over the last few years to set up The India Inclusive Innovation Fund. He is also a Member of the Standing Council of Experts under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The Council helps in assessing the Indian financial sector and makes recommendations for enhancing its international competitiveness.
Vikram is of the belief that social entrepreneurship and impact investing are areas that are on the brink of significant growth; the setting up of Asha Impact at such a time will not only facilitate investments but also serve as an "industry" platform. According to him, the country will emerge as one of the biggest economies of the world over the next two decades and demonstrates a massive potential to develop a strong impact investing ecosystem.
Prior to Founding Asha Impact and VSG Capital Advisors, Vikram was Vice Chairman of Investment Banking and Global Head of Financial Institutions Business for Credit Suisse, in New York and Hong Kong. He was a member of Credit Suisse's Global Investment Banking Management Committee and the Fixed Income Operating Committee. Prior to his tenure at Credit Suisse, Vikram worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was Co-Head of Global FIG in New York; his prior work at Morgan Stanley included heading the Firm's institutional strategy area, its Global E-commerce Committee, and as Country Head and President of Morgan Stanley India. During his two decade long year career in investment banking, Vikram has focused on advising Board of Directors and CEO's around the globe on strategic direction and the implementation of major mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising initiatives.
An MBA from the Harvard Business School where he was designated a Baker Scholar; a qualified Chartered Accountant and a B.Com with high distinction from the University of Mumbai, Vikram, in his capacity as the Founder CEO of VSG Capital Advisors, continues to work closely with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Greenhill & Co. as a Senior Advisor.
Vikram is also a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, Washington DC, which plays an important role in promoting economic growth, reducing poverty and maintaining global financial stability.
Pramod Bhasin is the founder of Genpact and was its President & CEO till June 2011. He is also the former Head of GE Capital in Asia and India. Pramod is considered the founder and pioneer of Business Process Management in India, an industry that currently employs over a million people in India directly and indirectly.
Under his leadership, Genpact has also been the pioneer of this industry in China, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Genpact is acknowledged today as the leader in its industry and known for its leadership development, operating excellence and global scale, with over 55,000 employees across 17 countries and nearly US$ 2 billion in annual revenues.
Pramod currently sits on the Board of IIM Lucknow, SRF Ltd, NDTV Ltd, DLF Ltd, the Shri Ram School as well as NGOs such as Help Age, Vandana Foundation and Vishwas. He is also the Chairman and co- founder of the Skills Academy, an organisation focused on skills development in the rural and semi urban areas of India to enhance employability for the people.
Pramod is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from McLintock & Co, London and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce.
